Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi
Chairman
Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi, the founder and chairman of Avalon Intercontinental Ltd, has over 35 years of experience as a chartered civil engineer. He began his professional career after graduating from Kaduna Polytechnic, Nigeria. Under his leadership, Avalon has become one of the leading hotel management and construction companies in the country, with 4 large hotels constructed to date. Alhaji Owoyemi is known for his business acumen, unwavering vision, and ability to identify and meet the demands of a niche market. He has established successful companies in the property, hospitality, banking, solid minerals, and maritime industries. The name Avalon is now synonymous with successfully delivered projects.
Hasan Abdul Jaleil
General Manager ( Construction )
Hasan has been an integral part of the Avalon Group’s construction team for the past six years. He has a strong analytical background in planning large scale multidiscipline construction projects, which he honed through the successful delivery of three large projects under his supervision. Originally from Syria, Hasan completed his formal education there before relocating to Nigeria. He also completed an eight-month managerial course in South Africa, which enhanced his supervisory, managerial, and operational efficiency skills. Hasan has successfully completed projects on three conti- nents, demonstrating his international experience and ex- pertise. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming and playing chess in his spare time.
Fred Ozoagu
General Manager ( Financial )
With a background in banking and finance, he has exten- sive experience in both investment and retail banks. Before the 2005 bank consolidation era, he even managed a branch and won the best branch manager award three years in a row. Fred holds a degree from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology and is a registered member of ICAN, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. This allowed him to expand his expertise into the hospitality sector. In 2016, he attained a fellowship membership with the Institute of Brand Management of Nigeria by using his key skills to align Avalon’s clients’ brand with the company’s business objectives. Fred is a devoted family man with four children and enjoys playing football and table tennis during his free time.
Olaitan Tajudeen-Salaudeen
Director ( Legal )
Olaitan is an accomplished legal professional who has dedicated her career to the legal sector. In addition to her legal expertise, she has experience in operational revenue raising, re-branding new hotels, developing and upgrading asset management processes, and disposing of assets within the Avalon group. She holds a law degree from the University of Keele and a Masters of Law degree in competition law from UCL in the United Kingdom. She was called to the bar in 2011 at the Nigerian Law School and completed a legal practice course in Corporate and Commercial Law at the College of Law London in 2010. Olaitan believes in unlocking the immense potential in every individual and is confident in the success of the Avalon brand in the hospitality and construction industry in Africa. She enjoys reading, speaks four languages, and has a passion for the theatre, travel, and contemporary art.
Ahmad Tajudeen
Director ( Project )
Ahmed began his Avalon career as a project coordinator overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion. He takes pleasure in improving organizational efficiency by redesigning processes, structures, and spearheading recruitment efforts. Ahmed has extensive experience in technology and project management, having worked at GIST Ltd and BNY Mellon in the UK and USA.
He joined Etisalat Nigeria in 2008 as one of its pioneer staff, helping to launch Etisalat as the 4th Network in the Nigerian Telecoms Industry. He holds a biomedical science degree from Kingston University London UK and a masters from the London Metropolitan University UK. He restructured and integrated the procurement systems in Avalon Group’s Mineral and Mining company. He obtained a master’s degree in International Technology Management from the University of Warwick UK and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Communication Systems & Software Engineering from the University of Greenwich UK. Ahmed is trilingual and enjoys supporting polo and rowing in his free time.
Kazeem Tajudeen
Director ( Operations )
Kazeem’s role within Avalon is solidified by his German SAP certification and MBA in Business Management from Kingston University London. His international education and training ensure that his organizational strategies, data analysis, and business decisions at Avalon are robust and well-founded. Kazeem’s passion for renewable energy and green initiatives is evident in his work at Avalon and partnerships with various firms to develop wind turbines and water filtration systems.
He is also committed to treating his fellow humans with dignity and promoting their welfare through his charitable work and disabled homes program. He runs mentoring and grassroots programs through his charities, which align with his values of inclusivity and community engagement.
